Who is eligible for liquor liability insurance through Hospitality Insurance Group?

  • Package (liquor) stores
  • Caterers and special event operators
Eligibility is subject to underwriting guidelines and varies by risk profile and state.
What does a liquor liability policy from Hospitality Insurance Group cover?
Hospitality Insurance Group offers liquor liability coverage with limits of up to:
  • $1 million per person
  • $1 million per occurrence
  • $2 million aggregate
Policies include no deductibles and unlimited reimbursement for defense attorney fees, subject to policy terms.
Does Hospitality Insurance Group offer other lines of coverage?
Yes. In addition to liquor liability insurance, Hospitality Insurance Group offers:
  • Commercial Property Insurance
  • Commercial General Liability (CGL)
    • Limits up to $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate
  • Excess Liability Coverage
    • Limits up to $3M over liquor liability and CGL
Note: Liquor liability and CGL must both be written with Hospitality Insurance Group to qualify for excess coverage.
What endorsements are available?
Eligible insureds may add the following endorsements:
  • Assault & Battery Coverage
    • Covers liquor-related and non-liquor-related incidents; often excluded from standard CGL policies.
  • Expanded Property Damage Coverage
    • Covers damage to the insured premises and certain third-party property.
How much commission can I earn as an agent?
Hospitality Insurance Group offers competitive commissions for both new business and renewals, varying by line of coverage and risk classification.
How can my clients qualify for discounts on liquor liability insurance?
Hospitality Insurance Group offers premium discounts based on risk management practices, operational controls, and participation in approved programs. Discount availability and amounts may vary by state.
Clients may qualify for discounts by meeting one or more of the following criteria:
  • Early Closing Discount
    • A 10% discount is available for establishments that close by 8:00 p.m. daily.
  • Restaurant Association Membership
    • A 20% discount is available for establishments that are members of their state restaurant association.*
  • Alcohol Awareness Training Discount
    • A 10% discount is available when 100% of managers and 75% of servers complete an approved alcohol-awareness training program.
  • Security Training Discount (Assault & Battery)
    • A 50% discount on the assault-and-battery endorsement is available when 100% of managers and 75% of non-management staff complete an approved security training program.
  • Age Verification Scanner Discount
    • Discounts may be available for insureds who use approved age-verification scanning systems to prevent underage alcohol service.
